Stainless Steel Reducing Nipple – 316 Grade
Our 316 Stainless Steel Reducing Nipples are designed to connect two female threaded fittings of different sizes. Manufactured from high-quality 316 grade stainless steel, these fittings offer excellent corrosion resistance, strength and durability for industrial, agricultural and commercial pipework applications.
Featuring male BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper) threads at both ends, these reducing nipples provide a reliable connection between different nominal pipe sizes, making them ideal for reducing threaded pipework connections.

BSP thread sizes are nominal and do not represent the actual outside diameter of the thread. The table below provides the standard BSP thread major diameters in millimetres to assist with fitting identification and selection.

Important: The dimensions shown are standard BSP reference major diameters. BSPT threads are tapered, so actual measured diameters vary depending on the measurement position along the thread.
Installation Information
BSPT threads are designed to form a pressure-tight joint using a suitable thread sealant or PTFE tape. Ensure mating threads are compatible, clean and correctly aligned before installation. Avoid overtightening, which may damage the threads or connected fittings.
Please Note: Class 150 is a fitting pressure classification and does not mean a fixed maximum working pressure of 150 PSI. Actual working pressure depends on the fitting specification, operating temperature and application. Always confirm the manufacturer's pressure rating before installation.
