Stainless Steel Lock Nuts – 316 Grade
Our 316 Stainless Steel Lock Nuts are designed to secure male threaded fittings, pipe connections and components in a wide range of industrial, agricultural and commercial applications.
Manufactured from durable 316 grade stainless steel, these lock nuts offer excellent corrosion resistance and are particularly suitable for installations exposed to moisture, outdoor conditions and demanding working environments.
Featuring an internal female BSP parallel thread and a hexagonal exterior, these stainless steel lock nuts can be tightened against a mating surface to help secure threaded components in position.

BSP Thread Dimension Guide
BSP thread sizes are nominal and do not represent the actual physical diameter of the thread. The table below provides standard BSP thread major diameters in millimetres to assist with identifying the correct lock nut size.

Important: The dimensions shown are standard BSP thread major diameters and are provided for reference. These measurements correspond to the external diameter of the matching male thread, not the internal bore of the lock nut.
Installation Information
Ensure the lock nut and mating male thread are compatible before installation. Thread the nut onto the fitting by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten using a suitable spanner.
When securing a fitting through a panel, tank wall or mounting surface, ensure the correct sealing washer or gasket is used where a watertight connection is required.
Please Note: Stainless steel lock nuts are designed primarily for mechanical retention and do not independently create a pressure-tight seal. Where used in pressurised pipework or tank connections, the suitability and pressure rating of the complete assembly must be confirmed.
