Stainless Steel Plug – 316 Grade
Our 316 Stainless Steel Threaded Plugs are designed to securely close off female BSP threaded pipe connections, fittings, valves and equipment. Manufactured from high-quality 316 grade stainless steel, these plugs provide excellent corrosion resistance, strength and durability for industrial, agricultural and commercial pipework applications.
Featuring a male BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper) thread, these stainless steel plugs provide a reliable solution for sealing unused threaded outlets, terminating pipework and temporarily or permanently closing threaded connections.

BSP Thread Dimension Guide
BSP thread sizes are nominal and do not represent the actual physical diameter of the thread. The table below provides standard BSP thread major diameters in millimetres to help identify the correct stainless steel plug size.

Important: The dimensions shown are standard BSP thread major diameters and are provided for reference. BSPT threads are tapered, meaning the measured outside diameter varies along the thread. For example, a 1" BSP plug does not have an outside thread diameter of 25.4 mm.
Installation Information
Ensure the male BSPT thread is compatible with the female threaded connection before installation. Threads should be clean, correctly aligned and free from damage.
Apply a suitable thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male tapered thread where appropriate for the application. Tighten using the correct tool, taking care not to overtighten or damage the mating threads.
Please Note: Class 150 is a fitting pressure classification and does not mean a fixed maximum working pressure of 150 PSI. Actual working pressure depends on the fitting specification, operating temperature and application. Always confirm the manufacturer's pressure rating before installation.
