PVC Reducing Bush Plain x Female BSP – Imperial
Our PVC Reducing Bush Plain x BSP fittings provide a reliable connection between imperial PVC solvent weld pipework and male BSP threaded components. Manufactured from durable PVC-U (Unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride), these reducing bushes feature a plain spigot connection on the outside and a female BSP threaded connection internally.
Designed to fit directly into a compatible imperial PVC solvent weld socket, these fittings allow a smaller threaded connection to be incorporated into an existing PVC pipework system. Ideal for irrigation, swimming pools, water treatment and industrial applications.

BSP Thread & Imperial Pipe Size Guide
The table below shows standard BSP thread dimensions and imperial PVC pressure pipe outside diameters. For reducing bushes, the plain spigot and female BSP thread may be different nominal sizes.

Important: Imperial PVC pipe sizes are nominal and do not represent the actual outside diameter. For example, 2" imperial PVC pipe has an outside diameter of 60.3 mm, not 50.8 mm. BSP thread dimensions and imperial pipe outside diameters are different measurements and are not interchangeable. The BSP dimensions shown represent the standard external major diameter of the corresponding male thread, not the internal bore of the female fitting.

Installation Information
The plain spigot end is designed to fit inside a compatible imperial PVC solvent weld socket using suitable PVC solvent cement and cleaner. Ensure all joining surfaces are clean, dry and correctly prepared before assembly.
The internal female BSP thread accepts a compatible male BSP fitting. Use an appropriate thread sealing method and avoid overtightening, as excessive force can damage plastic threaded connections.
Please Note: Always confirm both the plain spigot size and BSP thread size before ordering. Check the manufacturer's pressure and temperature ratings for the specific fitting.
