Description
PVC 45° Tee – Plain Imperial
SIZE GUIDE ↗Our Imperial PVC 45° Tee Fittings are manufactured from high-quality PVC-U and designed to create a 45-degree branch connection in imperial PVC pressure pipe systems. Featuring three plain solvent weld socket connections, these fittings provide a secure, permanent and watertight connection for branching pipework at a 45° angle.
Unlike a standard 90° tee, the angled branch allows pipework to be connected at 45 degrees, making these fittings particularly useful where a gradual change in flow direction is required. The angled design can help reduce turbulence and pressure losses compared with sharper changes in direction, depending on the installation.
Ideal for swimming pools, irrigation systems, water treatment installations, industrial pipework and general water distribution applications. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant PVC-U, these fittings are WRAS approved and suitable for potable drinking water applications.

Approvals & Standards
Imperial solvent weld PVC fittings are generally manufactured in accordance with EN 1452-3.
All fittings are WRAS approved and suitable for potable drinking water applications.
Pressure Rating
Imperial PVC solvent weld fittings in sizes 1/2" to 8" have a maximum working pressure rating of 15 bar (215 psi) at 20°C.
Note: Maximum operating pressure may reduce at elevated temperatures. Always ensure the fitting is suitable for the intended application.
Installation
Imperial PVC 45° tees should be installed using a suitable PVC solvent cement and cleaner. Ensure all pipe ends and fitting sockets are clean, dry and correctly prepared before applying solvent cement.
Apply solvent cement in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, insert the pipes fully into the sockets and ensure the 45° branch is correctly aligned before the cement begins to set.
Allow the solvent cement to cure for the recommended period before pressurising the system.

Important Sizing Information
Imperial PVC fittings are manufactured to imperial dimensional standards and are not directly interchangeable with metric PVC fittings.
The stated imperial size is a nominal pipe size and does not represent the actual outside diameter of the pipe. For example, a 1" imperial PVC pipe has an outside diameter of approximately 33.6mm, rather than 25.4mm.
Always check the pipe outside diameter and refer to our PVC Pipe Size Guide before ordering.
