PVC Ball Valve – Inch Plain (Imperial Solvent Weld)
The PVC Inch Plain Ball Valve provides reliable on/off flow control for water distribution, agricultural irrigation, swimming pools and industrial pipework systems. Manufactured from durable PVC-U, these valves offer excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight construction and dependable performance.
Featuring imperial plain solvent weld socket connections at both ends, the valve is designed for direct installation onto compatible imperial PVC pressure pipe using suitable PVC-U solvent cement.
The quarter-turn lever provides quick and convenient operation, allowing water flow to be isolated when required. Suitable for both new installations and maintenance applications, these PVC ball valves provide a practical solution for controlling water flow in a wide range of pipework systems.

Imperial PVC Pipe Size Guide
Imperial PVC pressure pipe sizes are nominal measurements and do not represent the actual outside diameter of the pipe. For example, 2" imperial PVC pressure pipe has an outside diameter of approximately 60.3mm, not 50.8mm.
The table below shows the corresponding outside pipe diameter for each imperial valve size.

Important: Imperial PVC pressure pipe is sized differently from metric PVC pipe. For example, a 2" imperial ball valve is designed to accept 2" imperial PVC pressure pipe with an outside diameter of approximately 60.3mm. It will not directly accept 63mm metric PVC pipe. Always check pipe dimensions before ordering.
Installation Information
Ensure the pipe ends and valve sockets are clean, dry and correctly prepared before installation. Apply a suitable PVC-U solvent cement in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Allow the solvent welded joints to cure fully before pressurising the system. Always check the manufacturer's specified pressure and temperature ratings to ensure suitability for the intended application.
