Description
Imperial PVC 45° Elbow – Solvent Weld
The Imperial PVC 45° Elbow is designed to create a smooth 45-degree change in direction within an imperial PVC pipe system. Installed using PVC solvent cement, it forms a permanent, leak-free joint without the need for specialist tools. The shallower angle helps reduce flow restriction compared to a 90° bend, making it suitable for a wide range of pressure pipework applications.
Manufactured from durable PVC, these fittings are resistant to corrosion, scale and many chemicals, making them ideal for water distribution, irrigation, swimming pools, aquaculture and industrial process systems.
Imperial PVC Pipe Dimensions
Imperial solvent weld PVC fittings are sized by nominal bore (NB). The socket is manufactured to suit the outside diameter of the corresponding imperial pipe.

Pressure Rating
- Maximum working pressure: 15 bar (215 psi) at 20°C.
- Pressure capability decreases as operating temperatures increase.
- Maximum recommended operating temperature: 60°C.
Installation
For a reliable joint, clean both the pipe and fitting before applying a suitable PVC solvent cement. Insert the pipe fully into the socket with a slight twisting action and allow the adhesive to cure before the system is put into service.
