Imperial PVC Pipe Sizing
Imperial PVC pipe and fittings are sized by their nominal bore (NB) rather than the outside diameter. The socket of the fitting is manufactured to accept the outside diameter of the corresponding imperial PVC pipe.
| Pipe Size | 1/2" | 3/4" | 1" | 1 1/4" | 1 1/2" | 2" | 2 1/2" | 3" | 4" |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pipe Outside Diameter (mm) | 21.4 | 26.7 | 33.6 | 42.2 | 48.3 | 60.3 | 75.2 | 88.9 | 114.3 |
Installation: For a reliable, long-lasting joint, use a suitable PVC solvent cement and pipe cleaner when assembling solvent weld pipework.
